Link's Curry Pilaf (Zelda)


Inspired by Hyrule’s spiciest warriors, this curry pilaf is loaded with homemade Goron spice — fiery, earthy, and fit for a hero with full hearts and an empty pot.

Ingredients:


2 Tbsp Goron spice

  • 1 tsp coriander

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 3 tsp yellow curry powder 

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder


Rice

  • 3 tbsp ghee butter or goat butter

  • 2 cups frozen peas

  • 2 1/4 cups chicken broth

  • 1 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 egg (bird egg)

  • 2 small carrot , peeled and grated

  • 1 1/2 cups Hylian rice (uncooked basmati rice )

  • 2 tsp ginger , finely chopped 

  • 3 garlic cloves , minced

  • 1 onion , finely chopped


Directions:

  1. Wash basmati rice until water is clear.

  2. Add Ghee Butter in a wok, medium heat.

  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, cook for 30 seconds.

  4. Add onions until translucent. 

  5. Then add some minced carrots and stir fry 2-3 minutes.

  6. Add basmati rice making sure all the grains are coated in oil.

  7. Mix in the Gordon spice, which are the seasonings combined above.

  8. Add chicken stock and frozen peas with salt and pepper.

  9. When it simmers, cover with lid for 14 minutes.

  10. Make a well in the center to add scrambled eggs. Mix and cook. Serve.
